We are Family

Our favorite San Diego-ans came up this weekend for Jane's service, and even though their visit was primarily for a sad event, it was also wonderful that they got to meet Skyla.  The service was very moving and it felt good to be surrounded by friends and family.  We had a great time together the rest of the weekend; one of the highlights was going to Kyle and Colleen's hotel for swimming and a pizza party!

Kaylee and Charlie loved meeting their new cousin.  It was hard explaining to them why she slept so much but we had fun together when she was awake!

Probably the highlight for Tory and me was going out to dinner at a great Japanese restaurant -- our first time in a sit-down restaurant since welcoming our baby.  Luckily for us she was asleep the whole time and we got to enjoy a relaxing dinner with the fam.

We capped off the weekend by going over to Geordie's house to hear him play the song he wrote for the first day of school.  We all loved it, but probably no one more than Charlie, who showed off some excellent dance moves.  It was a great visit and we can't wait to see them again!
