We had the most amazing time for Thanksgiving this year. We went down to San Diego to celebrate with Kyle and his family. The three of us drove down with my Dad, which was a lot of fun! We took our time, stopping at Denny's for breakfast, then Macaroni Grill for lunch. Tory and my Dad took turns driving, and we played games to pass the time.

When we got to San Diego, Skyla started having fun right away with Nonna Mandy and her cousins, who we got to pick up from preschool.
We spent the next day cooking (well, Kyle did almost all the cooking!), playing, dancing, and catching up. The food was delicious and we had a great time just spending time together -- exactly the reason Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday!
The next day we explored the area around the hotel (the awesome downtown Marriott, thank you Uncle Kyle for the hookup!), starting with breakfast at a nearby cafe. Afterwards, we walked around a bit and saw Kyle driving a firetruck! We caught up with him at Seaport Village.
We had some fun with the kiddos at the gorgeous pool, then went to lunch at Seaport Village. Lunch was yummy, but the ice cream we got afterwards was even better :) We spent some time with Auntie Fiona in our hotel room and watched the sunset. Skyla was completely pooped after such a long day!
We got up super early to drive back to the Bay Area, hoping Skyla would sleep for most of the ride. Luckily she did, and we waited until we were almost 5 hours along before we stopped for breakfast. One little jaunt outside before finishing the trip. Fun, fun, fun!
