Camping in backyard

What an adventure we had last night!  We decided to try out camping for the first time in our backyard.  We figured if it was an epic disaster, we could always just come back inside.  Tory and Skyla set up the tent together and he made it into sort of a game so she thought it was really cool and fun from the start.  We put her pack 'n' play in there so she would have a familiar place to sleep, and got our sleeping bags and blankets ready as well.  She goes to sleep really early, so we did her normal nighttime routine, then Tory put her down in the tent.  She went to sleep with no complaints!  We didn't want her to be out there all alone, though, so we hung out on the back patio for a few hours.  Tory broke out the camping grill and grilled burgers, and we watched basketball on our outdoor TV (sort of cheating, but hey, baby steps).  

Around 9 we were ready for bed, so we climbed in the tent and all three of us slept soundly the whole night.  Yippee!  Now we can go on lots more trips, including the most exciting one of all, Strawberry!
