Easter 2013

We had a nice Easter this year just the three of us.  We haven't been able to go to church lately because it's right during Skyla's lunch and nap time, but we thought this would be an important day to go.  It was a very thought-provoking service, as many of them are, in part because it didn't follow the usual "death and rebirth" tradition.  It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed watching the light stream in through the stained-glass windows.  The highlight was the bell choir playing some nice music.

After that it was time for Skyla to do her first real Easter egg hunt!  She sort of did one last year, but this year she seemed to really get the hang of it.  She had a small basket with a couple of presents (things we had but were new to her, shhhh don't tell!) and I hid a bunch of eggs around for her to find.  I hid things in them that she loves like raisins and stickers (no candy yet!)  Unfortunately, it wasn't the nicest day so we had to do it all inside.  The upside to that was that Tory videotaped it all!

After the egg hunt, we had some real eggs in our Easter tradition: broccoli-cheese quiche :) That with Caesar salad and mimosas and we were a happy family.
